Since becoming a licensed real estate broker in 2021, Phelan has been helping buyers and sellers navigate the process with confidence. Before entering real estate sales, he worked as a home appraisal assistant, where he developed a unique understanding of home valuation, property condition, and the many factors that influence a home's market value.

Now at Opt Real Estate, Phelan brings that experience to every transaction while focusing on clear communication, thoughtful guidance, and putting his clients' needs first. He works alongside a trusted network of lenders, inspectors, contractors, appraisers, title and escrow professionals, and financial advisors. His goal is to surround each client with the right professionals and make the buying or selling process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Originally from Albuquerque, Phelan moved to Portland with his family at the age of ten. He quickly fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and has proudly called the Portland area home ever since. He currently lives in Southeast Portland with his wife, Courtney, and their cat, Teddy. Outside of real estate, he enjoys camping, backpacking, cycling, skiing, reading, and exploring Portland's food and coffee scene or catching the latest movie.
