Growing up in Portland and Canby, Omar Ramirez has always enjoyed the abundance of interesting nearby locales, such as the Portland Japanese Garden or the International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park. After graduating from Portland State University with a marketing degree, he pursued a career in escrow, paving the way for his future transition into real estate sales.

“What led me to real estate are the constant challenges and the requirement of always having to be on your feet with every aspect of a transaction. This appeals to me because I enjoy working in an environment where the workflow varies. Each day is something new!”

After cutting his teeth in the escrow industry, he came to join Opt after being introduced while learning the ropes at a title company. Both roles prepared him well to make the switch to real estate broker.

“I am curious and open-minded, which helps me approach every transaction with a positive attitude,” he says.

Omar currently calls Canby home. In his free time, he loves learning about astronomy and working on cars.
