Chief Implementation Officer
As the Chief Implementation Officer of Opt Real Estate, Melissa Peterson brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate operations, technology enablement, and organizational leadership. Colleagues describe her as calm under pressure, results-driven, and deeply solution-oriented. These traits have helped her build high-impact teams, modernize legacy systems, and support broker communities with a clear focus on what they truly need. She does not simply respond to problems; she asks the right questions early and stays closely connected to the people and processes that make change successful.
Throughout her career, Melissa has centered her work on building structure, trust, and long-term value. She has led statewide initiatives, rebuilt operational infrastructures, and sustained profitability even in competitive and shifting markets. Equally passionate about the “how” and the “why,” she takes pride in guiding teams, boards, and systems toward outcomes that are both strategic and human.
Melissa’s real estate career began in 2005 and spans roles from part-owner and managing broker of an independent California firm to leading marketing, technology, and transaction operations for a major Oregon brokerage. Before joining Opt, she also guided Oregon Real Estate Forms through significant modernization efforts. Influenced by her family’s coaching legacy, Melissa brings a people-first mindset to every initiative, grounding her leadership in clarity, accountability, and a commitment to elevating the industry.
